The Dodgers are thrilled to announce the additions
of Nate Smith and Stephen Wickens to the
Dodgers’ roster for the 2008 season.  Smith and
Wickens are both graduates of the successful
Ontario Blue Jays Elite program and on baseball
scholarships as freshmen at NCAA Division I
schools in the United States.  The were listed
amung the Toronto Star’s Top 25 players to
watch in the Province in 2007.

Outfielder Nate Smith is currently attending the
University of Evansville in Indiana, after graduating
from Cardinal Leger Secondary School in
Brampton.  His great foot speed, power at the plate
and superb throwing arm will be a tremendous
asset to the club this season.

The addition of middle infielder Stephen Wickens’
quick bat, speed and arm strength will give the
Dodgers enormous depth at the shortstop
position.  Stephen attends Florida Gulf Coast
University in Fort Myers and is a graduate of
Sinclair Secondary School in Whitby.
