Dodgers Extend Winning Streak to 2 Games
Craig Megill's two-run double highlighted an eight-run Dodgers seventh
inning as Oshawa over-powered the Guelph Royals 9-6 in IBL action
tonight (Wednesday) in Kinsmen Stadium.
Oshawa’s Blake Prior (2-0) got the victory in relief, as he didn’t allow a
run during the one and two-thirds innings that he pitched. Starter Scott
Robinson lasted six innings, but was tagged for four runs (two earned)
on five hits and two walks. He registered four strikeouts.
Guelph started pitcher Jason Pilkington, and he left the game with the
score well in hand having pitched six innings, giving one run on three
hits. He had seven strikeouts and three walks. Andrew Karkoulas took
the loss allowing four runs on two hits and three walks through one third
of an inning.
Travis Skelton added a two-run single in the seventh for Oshawa. Joel
Lynch and Sean Reilly each had two RBI singles for Guelph.
