Brantford Snaps Dodgers Three Game Winning
Al Stephens two-run double in the fifth inning broke up a 2-2 tie as the
Brantford Red Sox went on to a 5-2 victory over Oshawa Dodgers in
first game of an Intercounty Baseball League doubleheader this
afternoon in Kinsmen Stadium.
Winning pitcher was Brad Hogeterp. He went six innings and allowed
one earned run on seven hits and two walks. He struck out five of the
batters that he faced. Aaron Boag came in relief and got credit for the
save. Matt Tosoni took the loss for the Dodgers as he went the
distance. Through seven innings, he gave up four earned runs on
eight hits, and struck out four batters.
Raul Borjas was the leading hitter for the Red Sox with three hits
including a triple. He batted in a run and Adrian Kerr added a RBI
single. Oshawa’s Mike Dahiroc had three hits and a RBI, and Darren
Sawyers added two walks and a RBI.
