Dodgers Defeat Royals 5-3
Kevin Brown's single in the sixth inning to score Phil Stone with the
game's winning run carried the Oshawa Dodgers to a 5-3 victory over
the Guelph Royals tonight (Thursday) in Kinsmen Stadium.
Kevin Wallace (1-1-2) earned the victory for Oshawa as he worked six
innings while allowing two earned runs off four hits and four walks. He
had four strikeouts. Scott Robinson (2-1-3) earned the save as he
pitched a scoreless ninth. Rylan Pranger was charged with the loss. He
gave up five earned runs through six innings on five hits and seven
For the Dodgers, Brad McConnachie had two hits including a double.
Ken Calway had a single, a sacrifice fly, and a walk, and batted in a pair
of runs. Jeremy Ware was Guelph’s leading hitter with three singles and
a RBI. Joel Lynch added a single, triple and a RBI.
