Panthers Double Dodgers
Kitchener Panthers staggered the Oshawa Dodgers, Sunday night with a
26-hit attack and five home runs as they beat the Dodgers 24-12 in IBL
action in Jack Couch Park.
Allstar Lee Witmer continued his winning ways with five innings of five-hit
baseball. He gave up four runs (two earned), while striking out three.
Scott Kelly took the loss for Oshawa. He lasted two innings before
Oshawa went to the bullpen. He was tagged for nine runs on eight hits
only three were earned.
Offensively, Kitchener was led by Jeff Pietraszko, who went four including
two home runs, and five RBIs. Scott Schmidt added a single, double,
and a bases loaded home run and five RBIs. Terrell Alliman had five hits.
For Oshawa, Josh Brock had three hits and three RBI, including a
two-run home run in the second inning. Brett Prosper added three hits,
including a bases loaded homer in the top of the ninth inning.
