Dodgers Lose Heartbreaker

Two runs in the top of the sixth innings as a result of a questionable call
by the first base umpire allowed the Toronto Maple Leafs to overcome a
2-1 Oshawa Dodgers lead and post a 3-2 victory.  Toronto now leads in
the IBL best of seven quarterfinal series 3 games to 1.

Jon Lockwood was the winning pitcher for Toronto as he pitched seven
innings and gave up two earned runs on eight hits while striking out 11
of the batters he faced.  Scott Kelly took the loss for Oshawa.  He
pitched eight innings and gave up three earned runs on six hits and five
walks.  Kelly struck out four men.

Damon Topolie led Toronto with two hits including a double.  Brad
McConnachie and Steve Lewis led the Dodgers at the plate with a single
and a double each.  Lewis and Vince Carbone had RBI singles in the
third to put Oshawa in front until the sixth.
