Leafs Eliminate Dodgers in Game Five

It was Paul Spoljaric night in Christie Pits, as the former Major Leaguer
handcuffed the Oshawa Dodgers allowing the Toronto Maple Leafs to
post a 2-0 victory over Oshawa and take the 2007 Intercounty Baseball
League quarterfinal 4-1 in games here tonight.

Spoljaric earned the victory as he threw a three-hitter over nine innings
while retiring 12 of the batters he faced on strikes.  He did not walk a
man.  For Oshawa, Scott Robinson took the loss working a complete
eight innings and allowing two earned runs on eight hits and three walks.
He struck out three of the batters he faced.

Toronto took the lead in the second inning as Jeremy Walker singled
and then advanced to third on a double by Damon Topolie.  Josh Brenn
brought him home to score with a ground out.  In the sixth inning, Walker
cranked a leadoff solo home run to complete the scoring.
