Dodger Errors Costly in 7-4 Loss

The Kitchener Panthers scored three unearned runs on four Oshawa
errors in the sixth inning top pick up a 7-4 win.

Oshawa starter Greg Byron carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning but
a two-out double by Justin Gianfrancesco ended the bid. Kitchener later
added three more runs in the ninth, two of them coming on a single by
Mike Roeder.

Kitchener led 3-0 after six even though the Panthers didn’t have a hit
until the seventh. Byron went seven innings, allowing just one hit while
striking out one and walking one, along with the three unearned runs.

Oshawa reliever Scott Kelly took the loss, giving up three unearned runs
over 1 1/3 innings. Nate Smith had a two-run pinch hit single for the
Dodgers in the seventh and Steve Wickens tied the game 4-4 in the
eighth on a sacrifice fly.

Kitchener starter Julian Granado allowed three runs – two earned – over
seven innings. Reliever Wes Koch got the win, allowing one run over two
innings.
