Dodgers Drop 4th Straight in Rain Shortened Game

In Guelph, Kris Dabrowiecki pitched seven strong innings as the Royals
picked up their sixth straight win, a 3-2 decision over the Oshawa
Dodgers in a game shortened to seven innings due to rain.

Dabrowiecki allowed two runs – one earned – on four hits with four
strikeouts and three walks in going seven innings before severe lightning
and rain washed out the rest of the game.

The Royals went ahead for good with two runs in the fifth inning, one of
them coming on a solo home run by Mark Allen, and held on for the
victory. Guelph had seven hits, including two by Kyle Leon, to move 2 ½
games behind Barrie for first place in the IBL.

Loser cam Gray also went all the way for Oshawa, allowing three runs on
seven hits with four strikeouts and two walks as the Dodgers slipped
back to .500 with the loss (10-10).

Mike Reeves had two hits and drove in a run for Oshawa, who managed
just four hits.
