Leafs Beat Dodgers to Take Fifth Place

In Toronto, Ryan Williams pitched six strong innings as the Toronto
Maple Leafs clinched fifth place in the IBL with an 8-3 win over the
Oshawa Dodgers.

Damon Topolie and Kyle Degrace both hit two-run homers for the Leafs
in the win, as both teams finish the season with 17-19 records but
Toronto gets fifth due to winning their series with the Dodgers.

Gamin Teague added a two-run single for the Leafs, who made the most
of their eight hits. Teague also had a double for Toronto.

Williams went six innings, allowing two runs on two hits after pitching five
hitless innings. He struck out five and walked one.

Oshawa starter Brian Sewell was the loser, going five innings and
allowing six runs on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks. Steve
Wickens had two hits and two RBI for Oshawa.
