Baycats stay alive with Game 4 win over Dodgers  

The Oshawa Dodgers failed to close out their first round series on
Thursday night as the Barrie Baycats pounded out 10 hits to down the
Dodgers 7-2 in one of four IBL playoff games Thursday night.
         
Oshawa still leads the best-of-seven series 3-1, with Game 5 back in
Barrie on Saturday night.
         
Paul Spoljaric pitched eight solid innings for the win, allowing two runs on
eight hits with five strikeouts and one walk to help keep the Baycats
alive. Kyle Payne pitched the ninth for Barrie.
         
Randy Schwartz had two hits and drove in three runs for the Baycats,
while Dave Latour and Jared McCord also had two hits.
         
Steve Wickens had three hits in a losing cause for Oshawa and Mark
Jeffrey added a pair of hits. Loser Cam Gray went 5 1/3 innings, allowing
four runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and seven walks.
