Leafs move into 1st place with win over Dodgers
Drew Taylor pitched six strong innings to win his third game of the
young season and Jeremy Walker had three hits including a three-
run home run as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Oshawa
Dodgers 12-9 in one of three games played in the Intercounty
Baseball league on Sunday.

The Maple Leafs took advantage of seven errors to move into first
place in the IBL with a 3-1 record, a half-game ahead of the 2-1
Dodgers.

Taylor (3-0) went six strong innings to pick up his third straight
Sunday afternoon win of the season. He allowed three runs but they
were all unearned on five hits, striking out five and walking one. He's
now allowed just one earned run in 16 innings pitched to date.
Leaf batters pounded out 14 hits. Raul Borjas also had three hits
and drove in a run and Kyle Morton and Jon Fernandez both added
a pair of hits for the winners.

Oshawa starter Chris Nagorski took the loss, allowing five runs – all
unearned – on seven hits, with many of the Dodgers seven errors
costly ones. Kyle Fillier led Oshawa with three hits and three RBI
and also scored three runs, while former Leaf Sean Travers
contributed a pair of hits.
