Twins Beat Dodgers in 9th Inning Comeback
In Oshawa, the Mississauga Twins scored four runs in the top of the
ninth inning to rally past the Oshawa Dodgers 6-5 in the lone
Intercounty Baseball League game played Thursday night.
Trailing 4-2 heading into the ninth, the Twins exploded to win for just
the seventh time this season while the Dodgers fell back under the .
500 mark (11-12) and into a tie for sixth place with the London
Mike Bonanno went 3-for-5 to pace the Twins 12-hit attack, with two
singles and a double, and also had a stolen base and drove in
three runs. Branson Joseph added a pair of hits and two RBI for the
Reliever Adam Banski got the win, allowing one run on three hits
over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Starter Shane
Cole allowed four runs on six hits over six innings, striking out four
and walking one.
Kyle Fillier had three hits with a walk and drove in a pair of runs,
while Cam Robulack also had three hits for the Dodgers.
Adam Garner, the fourth Oshawa pitcher of the night, took the loss.
He allowed two runs – one earned – on two hits in 2/3 innings.
