In Oshawa, the Brantford Red Sox pounded out 28 hits to rout the
Dodgers 16-4.
Brantford (16-9) moved into a second place tie with the Toronto
Maple Leafs in the IBL standings, four games behind the first place
Barrie Baycats with the win. Oshawa (12-14) remains in sixth place
with the loss.
Josh McCurdy and Jason Gotwalt both had five hits for the Sox,
while Bryon Bell added four hits. Starter Kyle Kotchie was the
winner, allowing just one hit and two runs in five innings with nine
strikeouts.
The Sox scored seven runs in the first and never looked back,
added three more in the third and six in the fourth.
Brandon Agnew was the loser, rocked for 11 runs on 16 hits in three
innings. Marcus Knecht had two hits for Oshawa and Brian Sewell
had a triple.
