Dodgers Improve to .500 With Win Over Leafs

In Oshawa, the host Dodgers scored seven runs in the eighth inning
to pound the Maple Leafs 13-7.

Tyler Patzalek, Rickey Thomas and Daniel Marra all had two hits for
the Dodgers, with Patzalek, Kofi Osei-Aning and Marcus Knecht all
driving in a pair of runs to pace the 13-hit Oshawa attack.

Oshawa starter Brandyn Agnew went 8 innings for the Dodgers (16-
16), allowing six runs – five earned – on 10 hits with two strikeouts
and two walks.

Toronto starter Marek Deska battled through some arm woes to
pitch six innings, allowing six runs on eight hits with three strikeouts
and two walks. But reliever Darryl Craig just didn’t have it, giving up
all seven runs in the eighth and taking the loss.

The Leafs scored twice in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 6-
6, but unraveled in the bottom of the inning. Knecht had a two-run
double to highlight the onslaught for Oshawa.

Kyle Degrace had three hits and drove in a run for Toronto, while
Kern Watts had two hits and an RBI and Raul Borjas had two hits
and scored twice.
